LIBERTY Dental Plan Establishes a Dedicated Toll-Free Number for the State of Emergency Proclamation for the Palisades Fire Issued on January 7, 2025

On January 7, 2025, Governor Newsom issued State of Emergency Proclamation for the Palisades Fire. The Palisades Fire ignited in Los Angeles County, burning over 1,200 acres. The high winds, low humidity, and dry conditions have increased the intensity and spread of the Palisades Fire, causing imminent threat to life with Red Flag warnings in effect in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. The widespread dangerous windstorm conditions with damaging wind gusts of 50 to 80 mph forecasted have prompted evacuation orders, warnings, and impacted the access route to the Palisades Highlands community.

LIBERTY has not, as of this date, experienced any disruption to plan operations. Our corporate office and operations center are in Tustin, Calif., and have not been impacted by the Palisades Fire. Additionally, we do not anticipate any disruption to our operations and will be available to members, including after hours and on the weekend. We are communicating our availability to potentially impacted enrollees through this press release, our website, and social media.

LIBERTY has taken steps to ensure that our members' oral health care needs are met through a dedicated, toll-free number to our call center, including 24/7 call availability to refer members to a dentist. Contact Member Services toll-free at 877-864-7811.

This policy applies in the event of any state of emergency declared by the governor and health emergencies declared by the State Public Health Officer. LIBERTY will comply with guidance issued by the Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) related to the emergency.
